ABOUT SAPPHIRE RIDGE
A place created with heart.
Sapphire Ridge began with a cabin in the mountains.
When I first found this little place on Locust Ridge, one of the things that immediately drew me in was the privacy. I wanted a place where you could truly escape - where you could step outside, breathe in the mountain air and feel completely alone in the mountains. The kind of place where you don't have to worry too much about what you're wearing.
But somewhere along the way, it became something more.
I began creating the kind of place I would want to escape to myself - comfortable and beautiful, but never so perfect that you're afraid to put your feet up. A place with personality. A place with things to discover. A place where someone had thought about the little details before you ever walked through the door.
WHY SAPPHIRE RIDGE?
I've always believed that where we spend our time matters.
Life gets busy. We work. We take care of people. We make plans. We move on to the next thing. And somewhere in all of that, it's easy to forget that some of the most meaningful parts of life are simply the moments we share with the people we love.
The places we went. The things we laughed about. The conversations we still remember. The memories that somehow become part of our story.
I wanted Sapphire Ridge to be a place where there is time for more of those moments.
That's why so much of what you'll find here was chosen intentionally. The books were chosen for a reason. The art has a story. The colors were considered. And there are little surprises waiting for you along the way.
I wanted this cabin to feel less like a rental and more like a place someone genuinely wanted you to enjoy.
FROM ME TO YOU
There are pieces of me throughout Sapphire Ridge.
My love of nature. My love and appreciation for God's beautiful creation - the mountains, the changing sky, the trees, the wildlife and those quiet moments that remind me just how much beauty surrounds us when we take the time to notice.
My belief that quiet is good for us. My appreciation for a beautiful space that still feels comfortable enough to live in. My love of a good book, a meaningful conversation, a little laughter and those unexpected moments that become the memories we keep.
I hope you'll explore. I hope you'll rest. I hope you'll laugh. I hope you'll step outside, look around and take in the beauty of this place. I hope you'll notice something you might normally walk past.
But most of all, I hope you make Sapphire Ridge your own while you're here.
Because once the door closes behind you, this isn't really my retreat anymore. For a little while, it's yours.
